In some areas, due to excessive physical development ،, the structure and function of urban rivers have been severely destroyed and weakened. Kan river in Tehran is not exempt from these issues. The purpose is to assessment of ecological-social integration conditions of this urban river corridor. For this purpose, using different maps, land use data, Google Earth satellite images, field observations and in the environment of geographic information system(GIS)and ArcGIS software, the status and ecological-social integration of the Kan urban river corridor in the metropolis of Tehran with Attention to the Forgasi(2018) model has been evaluated. For this purpose, the corridor segment was first divided into 6 Reaches and the evaluation was done for each of the Reaches according to the two criteria of connection and spatial capacity and each of them in the form of two ecological and social dimensions. For this work, 32 indicators were used in the Forgasi model. The results showed that this urban river corridor and its ecological-social system do not have proper and optimal interactions and functions. The diagrams obtained from the social-ecological assessment of this corridor show the unbalanced and extremely weak conditions of the connection functions and social spatial capacity. Also, most of ecological connection/capacity indicators are in poor conditions. In this context, only the indicators of vertical connection and ecological spatial capacity have relatively better conditions at the average level. In total, reaches of 2 and 3(from Hemat to Allameh Jafari highway) have relatively better conditions. In order to improve the conditions and ecological-social integration of this corridor, executive actions should be taken in the field of strengthening the ecological and social spatial connection and capacity through relevant organizations.
