در این مطالعه به تحلیل ارتباط ابعاد محرومیت روستایی با پایداری محیطی پرداخته شده که از نظر هدف، کاربردی و روش انجام آن توصیفی- تحلیلی است. ابزار گردآوری داده­ها پرسش­نامه، مصاحبه با مردم محلی، سالنامه آماری استان لرستان و داده­های معاونت توسعه روستایی و مناطق محروم بوده است. جامعه آماری خانوارهای روستایی شهرستان پل‌دختر می­باشد (10619N=). با استفاده از فرمول کوکران و به روش نمونه­گیری تصادفی ساده، 400 خانوار به عنوان نمونه انتخاب گردید. جهت شناسایی مهم­ترین ابعاد محرومیت از آزمون رتبه­ای هم­انباشتگی اکتشافی، برای بررسی عوامل پایداری محیطی از آزمون t تک نمونه­ای و نهایتا برای بررسی ارتباط ابعاد محرومیت روستایی و پایداری محیطی از مدل توبیت استفاده شد. نتایج نشان داد که بیشترین میزان محرومیت مربوط به محرومیت اقتصادی و فرهنگی بود. در زمینه عوامل پایداری محیطی نتایج نشان داد که هیچ کدام از عوامل مورد نظر در شرایط پایداری قرار ندارند. منابع آب، درختان و مراتع در وضعیت ناپایداری قرار دارند و تنها عاملی که وضعیتی نسبتاً پایدار داشته خاک می­باشد. بررسی ارتباط بین ابعاد محرومیت و ناپایداری محیطی نشان داد که محرومیت اقتصادی (0/418) و محرومیت اجتماعی با ضریب (0/308) بیشترین اثر و رابطه را با ناپایداری محیطی داشته در حالی که محرومیت فرهنگی منطقه در سطح بالایی قرار داشته، ولی با ضریب (0/039) کمترین رابطه را با ناپایداری محیطی دارا بوده است. لذا برای کاهش ناپایداری محیطی و جلوگیری از تخریب محیط زیست توجه به ابعاد محرومیت و برنامه­ریزی برای کاهش آن باید در اولویت قرار گیرد.
